Atlantic Ocean (May 5, 2005) - A member of SEAL Delivery Vehicle Team Two (SDVT-2) prepares to launch one of the team's SEAL Delivery Vehicles (SDV) from the back of the Los Angeles-class attack submarine USS Philadelphia (SSN 690) on a training exercise. The SDVs are used to carry Navy SEALs from a submerged submarine to enemy targets while staying underwater and undetected. SDVT-2 is stationed at Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek, Va., and conducts operations throughout the Atlantic and Southern, and European command geographic areas of responsibility. Pacific Ocean (Oct. 24, 2005) Ð Aviation Boatswain's Mate 3rd Class Selvin Rosalesespino signals for launch sequence preparation while testing one of the four steam-powered catapults on the flight deck of the conventionally powered aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63). While at sea, Kitty Hawk and Carrier Strike Group Five (CSG-5) will participate in an annual exercise with the Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force.

Atlantic Ocean (July 12, 2005) - A catapult shooter signals the launch of an E-2C Hawkeye, assigned to the "Seahawks" of Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron One Two Six (VAW-126), as it launches from the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75). Truman is currently conducting carrier qualifications in the Atlantic Ocean. Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Fla.
